House To Go!
Don't like your neighbors? No Problem -- Just Move Your House!
This house is especially difficult (and expensive) to move because it has bricks. But the owner wants it moved about 200 meters. All the neighboring houses have been tore down. Apartments and condominiums will be built on the site. I heard from a workman on the site that the house was used by Henry Ford's brother. (Henry Ford lived in a large limestone mansion about 1 km away) Neither Ford Motor Company nor Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village were interested in the house. But it seems that the present owner wants to preserve the house for that historical significance.
