Victorian Quadrille
Four couples form a "quadrille" (in American New England it is called a "round" and in the American West it is called a "square" as in "square dancing") They are ready to begin a special dance which they have practised and are exhibiting for the others to enjoy. Note that the ladies are wearing formal gowns of the "Victorian Era". The gentlemen are wearing formal dress as well - either trousers or kilt, as this is a Victorian Scottish Ball.
